The Research Funding Toolkit is a handbook for individuals or groups who want to improve their chances of winning research grants.  Very few academics can write good research grant applications. There is no shortage of good advice about what to write in a grant application but most academics fail to follow that advice.

Jacqueline Aldridge, who is now Research Manager at Kent Business School and I designed a set of workshops to help academics at the University of Kent develop the skills and insights they needed to write better research grant applications. The workshops were so successful that we decided to write a self-help guide for academics who want to write research grant applications.
